Label "Grassland Product"

The label "Grassland Product" is the first label for marking products with a direct impact on nature conservation. The label is awarded to producers who manage semi-natural grasslands and produce products such as honey, herbal teas, meat, dairy products, as well as rural tourism objects and craftsmen. By choosing products with this label, consumers will be able to support the preservation and restoration of natural values, the producers who manage semi-natural grasslands, and obtain high-quality products.

The graphical representation of the label—a bright meadow flower embraced by a person with both hands—symbolizes the inseparable connection between the semi-natural grasslands and humans, as semi-natural grasslands cannot exist without human presence, while people can gain and enjoy the benefits provided by natural meadows.

The label is awarded to producers by the Latvian Fund for Nature, in accordance with the developed conditions for obtaining the rights to use the label "Grassland Product."
