Atis Stapkevičs - Dvietes īstais lauku saldējums

Atis Stapkevičs is proud of the place where he lives: the Dviete floodplain on which his family has established a renowned dairy farm since the 1990s, which Atis himself started managing in 2014. 

When the floodwaters of the Daugava River start filling the Dviete meadows, the fifth season of the year, the ebb season, begins. The changes in moisture in these floodplains give rise to meadows with a stunning level of species diversity. After the floods recede, Atis brings his herd to graze here, managing these semi-natural grasslands in the best possible way. But even better is the outcome: high-quality milk.

The Stapkevičs family knows the best use for this milk is in 100% natural, delicious ice cream. Only their own milk, and berries grown or wild-harvested from their land, are used to create their rich, refreshing flavours. Their authenticity is how they've earned their unambiguous name - "Dvietes real farm ice cream". It tastes simply outstanding!

Their cozy courtyard ice cream parlour is the perfect environment to enjoy their farm-to-table treat paired with a home-baked waffle and a steaming cup of coffee. Their flavours reflect the seasonality of the berries they harvest - come and visit to taste what's growing in Dviete!

In 2019, "Dvietes real farm ice cream" won the LLKC "Regional Taste" competition "Taste of the Country" in the dairy product category for the region of Latgale.
