Dāri goat cheese from natural meadows!

Dainis Erbss is an experienced goat farmer and cheese maker from Tukums municipality, Tume parish. Together with his wife Tatjana, he manages their farm "Dāri", where he breeds a herd of about 100 goats. Since December 2009, when the farm was registered, Dainis has been fully committed to goat farming, using the opportunities provided by nature to create high-quality goat milk products.

“Dāri” farm pays particular attention to the management of natural grasslands, preserving biodiversity and promoting sustainable land use. The goats are kept in an environment where they can graze freely, choosing the best grass from the farm's meadows. This free grazing principle not only contributes to the welfare of the animals, but also ensures excellent milk quality - rich in flavour nuances and nutrients.

Dainis uses the heat of a wood-burning stove to make the cheese, which gives the product its unique authenticity and character. The cheese-making process takes several hours, and there are more than 16 different flavours - with cumin, dill, walnut, chili pepper, dried tomato, basil, garlic and other natural additions - to appeal to every taste.

At the “Dāri” farm, everyone can not only buy produce, but also enjoy the rural lifestyle. Visitors are invited to get to know the goats, go herbal tea-picking and enjoy an overnight stay in a rural tourist lodge, where the peace of nature and the scent of meadows fill the atmosphere.
