Jānis Vingris

Janis Vingris manages natural grasslands in Vingri, Rožkalni parish, on the banks of the Dubna river.  Here you can come and forget the everyday rush. Wander into the meadow, pick flowers and wrap nature's energy in a wreath. Relaxing in the meadows is healing - surrounded by silence, fresh air and nature.

Janis has extensive knowledge of the natural grassland and its inhabitants - plants, insects and birds. You can go and pick up plants for your herbal tea, make the whisks for sauna or ask Janis to guide you in the meadows to learn about its plants.  At Vingri, the meadows are so glorious!

After the walk, guests can relax in the old latvian style sauna (pirts). Overnight is possible in a small chalet or you can put on your tent.

 Dubna river offers swimming and fishing possibilities, you can also rent a boat and have a picnic.  

But maybe you want to spend the night in the meadow? Breathe, feel, hear and be part of the nature? In Vingri it is also possible!
