The Stašinsku family are strong supporters of biodiversity and organic farming, as demonstrated by their work on the Ābelītes farm. "Ābelītes" is like a green island in the vast arable fields of Zemgale, home to a diverse herd of cattle, sheep and goats. Poultry of various species are also an integral part of the farm.

Although the property was originally purchased for family recreational purposes, the conditions dictated by nature and the possibility of expanding the area have encouraged more. Thus, gradually, a herd of Galloway cattle was established with the aim of managing the grassland, and over time sheep and goats were added. The owners call themselves Grass Farmers because they farm exclusively on grassland, including biologically valuable or natural grassland.

The farm offers beef from the Galovejas breed, which is characterised by its distinctive flavour and its healthy fatty acid composition. Visitors wishing to learn how farming is managed according to the rhythms of nature and to see the large herd of farm animals can visit the farm (by prior arrangement and appointment).
