SIA Laskumi

SIA Laskumi in Druvienas parish is an example of commitment and the possibility to start farming from scratch if you have a strong desire to do so. Kristaps Graumanis, the founder and manager of the farm, is one of the few young Latvian farmers who, after several years of working abroad, returned to Latvia and, thanks to the EU support programme for young farmers, started beef cattle farming. The areas are farmed in several parishes – Druvienas, Ranka, Tirza, Lizuma.

The Laskumi family is involved in breeding Hereford purebred cattle for sale to other herds and producing quality beef. They farm organically, with a strong emphasis on animal welfare and forage quality. In 2018, Gulbene region awarded SIA Laskumi with the title of HONOURED COMPANY.

Laskumi cattle are real beauties! They are cared for and nurtured, they graze on natural grasslands and, like real gourmets, choose grassland plants for their daily diet, eating them gradually and thus maintaining the diversity of plants in the grasslands.

SIA Laskumi is a member of the cooperative society "Latvijas liellops". The beef produced on the farm is available for purchase in the cooperative's e-shop.
