Jānis and Linda Priednieki manage natural grassland areas in the Kandava region within the nature park "Abavas senleja" with the aim of preserving and restoring meadow biodiversity. They laugh, saying they've gotten into a kind of excitement, eagerly watching what will sprout in the meadow each season. Regularly walking here, it's fascinating to observe how the meadow changes colors over a short period of time - here it blooms blue, there - yellow again.

Linda is a ceramist with a close affinity to nature themes, which is also reflected in her works. Art workshops and plein airs are also organized on the theme of nature. Linda creates black, unglazed ceramics. She crafts her works without using mechanical devices and glazes. All pieces are handcrafted and later fired in a wood-burning kiln. Meanwhile, visitors, upon prior arrangement, can visit Linda's workshop, learn about the differences between unglazed ceramics and conventional ceramics, view and purchase works - bowls, mugs, vases, souvenirs, and even participate in the process.

Linda says that the countryside craves creative, empowered individuals. And Jānis adds, "Only those who don't want to do anything are bored."
