Natural meadow products at the Zaube Wild Food Festival

On September 13, the Zaube Wild Food Festival once again gathered visitors in the Zaube Manor Park to celebrate generations of traditional and newly acquired knowledge about nature with master chefs, farmers, hunters, fishermen, nature experts, and craftsmen to celebrate the knowledge about nature's bounty that has been passed down through generations and newly acquired. For the second time, the Latvian Nature Fund participated with activities under the brand "Natural Meadow Product."

Visitors were able to discover the flavors of the meadow by tasting natural meadow products – various sheep's milk cheeses from "Piena aitas bio," dried beef from "Neganti gardi," and learn about the brand "Dabisko plavu produkts."

How can you improve plant diversity in your meadow? What plants are characteristic of a natural meadow? Meadow owners and other interested parties asked meadow expert Zane Līkā these and other questions. The curious tried their hand at spinning the wheel of fortune and, together with representatives of the Latvian Nature Fund, tried to find answers to various questions related to natural meadows. Both young and old took the opportunity to look at the meadow and its business potential through virtual glasses.
