13. In September, the Zaube Wild Food Festival once again brought visitors together in the grounds of Zaube Manor to celebrate, alongside master chefs, farmers, hunters, anglers, nature enthusiasts and craftspeople, to celebrate the knowledge of nature’s bounty – both that passed down through the generations and newly acquired. For the second time, the Latvian Nature Fund also took part with activities under the “Natural Meadow Product” brand.
Visitors were able to discover the flavours of the meadows by sampling natural meadow products – various sheep’s milk cheeses from “Piena aitas bio”, air-dried beef from “Neganti gardi”, as well as learn about the “Dabisko plavu produkts” brand.
How can you improve plant diversity in your meadow? What plants are characteristic of a natural meadow? Meadow owners and other interested parties put these and other questions to meadow expert Zane Līkaja. Those keen to learn tried their hand at spinning the wheel of fortune and, together with representatives from the Latvian Nature Fund, sought answers to various questions relating to natural meadows. Both young and old also took the opportunity to view the meadow and its business potential through virtual reality glasses.

The owner of the "Natural Meadow Product" label is Latvian Nature Fund.
