Cattle for the Cēsis Meat Processing Plant
Ieva Galiņa, together with her family, has set up a certified organic farm in the heart of Vidzeme – in Madona District – where they rear Aberdeen Angus beef cattle. With a view to producing value-added products, she and her husband Jānis have purchased and modernised a slaughterhouse, set up a meat-processing workshop and opened a butcher’s shop. Ieva’s family has also purchased a share in the Iedzēni breeding station and is gradually restoring the orchards.
Meat products are sold through the company SIA “LATANGUS”, which we have established ourselves, offering customers fresh, beef reared on Latvian pastures, as well as a wide variety of sausages, smoked meats, dumplings and other delicacies.

The owner of the "Natural Meadow Product" label is Latvian Nature Fund.
The brand was created as part of the LIFE19IPE/LV/000010 LIFE-IP LatViaNature project, with the aim of promoting business initiatives for the sustainable management of natural grasslands.
