Meadows have a unique ability to transform! In Līdumkalni, in the Talsi district, natural meadows are transformed into soaps rich in aromatic and valuable medicinal substances. As Vizma herself says – these are SOAPS FOR LIKE-MINDED PEOPLE, for those who respect nature and understand the value of such a product. Family health issues prompted Vizma to think outside the box, utilising the beneficial properties of plants growing in the local environment – and so the first soaps containing plant concentrates were created. Seeing that the product she’d created was helping her family members, she decided to offer it to the wider public. Vizma’s soaps can be purchased by ordering via email, and Vizma can also be met in person at the Talsi market almost every weekend.

In Līdumkalni, the natural meadow is not only transformed into soap, but can also be enjoyed in other ways. Ganu Namiņš offers the chance to hear, see and feel what is happening in the natural meadow and to become part of it. The cottage is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, so that nothing disturbs your immersion in the rhythms of nature. Guests at Ganu Namiņš are also offered the chance to gather wild meadow plants themselves, to use in salads or as herbs, or traditionally for teas. A tasting of the hostess’s hand-picked teas will be a wonderful way to savour the flavours of the meadow.
