A family-run farm owned by Valdis Lācis, with Aelita Runce managing the day-to-day operations. The farm is situated in Zaube Parish, Amata Municipality. It specialises in rearing Limousin cattle and their crossbreeds, and is certified organic. The focus is on animal welfare and the quality of feed. ZS “Atēnas” is a member of the “Latvijas liellops” cooperative; beef from cattle reared on the farm can be purchased via the cooperative’s online shop.

The owner of the "Natural Meadow Product" label is Latvian Nature Fund.
The brand was created as part of the LIFE19IPE/LV/000010 LIFE-IP LatViaNature project, with the aim of promoting business initiatives for the sustainable management of natural grasslands.
