In the picturesque Abava Valley, not far from Sabile, nestled amongst the woods by the Amula River, lies the “Lejaskroķi” farm. The owners, Maija and Toms Zilberti, are locals who lived in Riga for a while before returning to this area; they now run the family farm with joy, responsibility and care for this place.
The meadows in the ancient Abava Valley, on the banks of the Amula River, are a haven of peace where you can enjoy and immerse yourself in nature, and learn about plants and birds. There is a well-equipped picnic area on the riverbank with tables, a campfire site and attractions for children. As well as enjoying the meadow atmosphere, the hostess, Maija, offers visitors the chance to taste and buy her home-baked bread.
Lejaskroķi is a place that evokes a sense of childhood. When visiting the farm, guests can cuddle and feed the rabbits, as well as see the baby goats, who really enjoy the attention.
The Zilberts family have found their calling – to bring genuine joy to people, especially children.
“No amusement park can match the joy of nature!” they say, inviting you to come and visit, meet the farm’s residents and enjoy a relaxing break in the countryside by the river.
